Wayan looks after the house every day.
We built Rumah Kayu out of reclaimed teak from old Javanese houses, which is where the name comes from. It means “wooden house.”
Everything you need is on this page: the Wi-Fi, how the hot water works, our favorite places to eat, and who to call. Keep it on your home screen and you won’t need to message us for the small things.
For anything else, we’re a WhatsApp away. Enjoy the quiet mornings here… they’re the best part.

Arriving at the villa
- Your driver drops you at the gateGang Kayu is a narrow lane off Jalan Pantai Pererenan. Cars fit, but the big vans stop at the corner. Wayan will meet you there.
- Enter the code on the keypadYour gate code shows on the Welcome tab on arrival day.
- Wayan shows you aroundA ten-minute walk through the house: the pool, the hot water, the safe, and where the extra towels live.
- Keys are on the teak bowl by the doorOne key per bedroom, plus a gate fob. Please leave them in the same bowl when you go.

Look down before you step. The little palm-leaf trays of flowers by our gate are canang sari, fresh offerings Wayan makes each morning. Please walk around them.
